Hello and welcome,

We are the Waddington family.

Dogs have always been a big part of our lives. When we first met, Seth was raising and training Bluetick Coonhounds, and I had spent five years working in a veterinary clinic. We both deeply appreciate dogs—especially working breeds—and occasionally raised a litter of puppies for Seth to train. I quickly discovered that raising puppies was one of the most rewarding things I had ever done.

As our family grew and children began to arrive, life started to change. Late nights spent coon hunting became harder to balance with little ones at home. We began to realize that our days raising and training blueticks was coming to a close. We were saddened to see this chapter of our lives come to an end, Seth would miss hunting and I would miss raising puppies. 

At work one day, Seth spotted what he described as "the prettiest little dog he'd ever seen" in the yard next to where he was working. It was a little lemon-colored hound, he thought it looked like a beagle, but had never seen one that color before. He walked over and knocked on the door and asked what kind of dog it was. Sure enough, it was a bi-colored beagle. The gentleman very kindly got us in touch with the people he got his beagle from, and we got our first beagle puppy. A beautiful little lemon colored female. 

 Not long afterward, we came across an opportunity that would change everything—Crimson Crown Beagle Kennels was for sale. It felt like the perfect fit for our family. We would still get to have hounds, just smaller ones, and I would get to have more puppies!

In September 2018, we became the proud new owners of Crimson Crown Beagle Kennels.

Beagles truly are hounds at heart, we love watching our Beagles follow a scent trail, use their incredible noses, and enjoy doing what they were bred to do. Seeing them work and play brings us so much joy. 

I've never met a mean or grumpy hound, and beagles are no exception! Their happy-go-lucky and gentle demeanor make them a perfect choice for families with small children. As our own children have grown from toddlers to older kids, the Beagles have been patient, gentle, and affectionate companions every step of the way. They give us the hound characteristics we love while fitting beautifully into family life.

Today, we are dedicated to raising healthy, well-socialized, quality Beagles for quality homes. Beagles make exceptional companions for a wide variety of families and lifestyles.
